This notice explains how Synphonya S.r.l. processes the personal data of people who visit synphonya.com, as required by Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation, “GDPR”) and by Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003 (Italian Privacy Code).
1. Data controller
Synphonya S.r.l., registered office at Corso Castelfidardo 30/A, 10129 Torino (TO), Italy,
VAT no. and Tax code 13355150015.
Email: info@synphonya.com ·
Certified email (PEC): synphonya@pec.it
The controller has not appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO).
2. Personal data we process
a) Browsing data
The servers that host the site automatically collect some data whenever a page is visited, as part of the normal operation of internet protocols. This includes the IP address, date and time of the request, requested resource, HTTP response code, browser type and operating system. We do not use this data to identify visitors. It may be used to investigate abuse or attacks against the site.
b) Data you send us by email
The site has no contact forms. When you write to us using the email links (for example “Request Demo” or “Contact Us”), we receive your email address and any other data you choose to include in your message.
c) Embedded YouTube video
The demo video is hosted on YouTube, a service of Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). The page initially shows only a still preview stored on our own server, and no connection is made to YouTube. The video is loaded from the youtube-nocookie.com domain only after you click “Load video”. From that point, Google receives data such as your IP address and information about your device and browser, and may store cookies or similar technologies on your device. Google processes this data as an independent controller under its own privacy policy.
d) Language preference
If you switch the site language, your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage
(key synphonya-language). This value stays on your device, is never sent to us,
and does not identify you.
3. Purposes and legal bases
- Answering your requests (data in section 2.b): taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in replying to the people who contact us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Security and operation of the site (data in section 2.a): our legitimate interest in delivering the site and protecting it from abuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Third-party content (data in section 2.c): your consent, given by clicking “Load video” (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw consent at any time by not loading the video again and by deleting cookies from your browser. Withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before it.
Providing data by email is optional, but without it we cannot reply. Loading the video is optional and has no effect on the use of the rest of the site.
4. Recipients
Your data may be processed, on our behalf or as independent controllers, by:
- Google, as provider of Firebase Hosting, the service that hosts the site, acting as data processor;
- Google, as provider of Google Workspace, the service that runs our email, acting as data processor;
- Google Ireland Limited, for the YouTube video, only after your consent, as an independent controller.
Data is accessed only by authorized Synphonya staff. We do not sell personal data or disclose it for marketing purposes.
5. Transfers outside the EU
Google may transfer data to Google LLC in the United States. Google LLC participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission found adequate in its decision of July 10, 2023. Where needed, Google also relies on the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission. The same safeguards apply to Firebase Hosting and Google Workspace, which may process data on servers outside the EU.
6. Retention
- Browsing data: kept by the hosting provider only for as long as strictly needed for technical and security purposes, according to its own retention policies.
- Emails: kept for as long as needed to handle your request. If a business relationship follows, they are kept for its duration and for the periods required by law.
- Language preference: stays in your browser until you delete it.
7. Your rights
Under Articles 15 to 22 GDPR, you can ask us at any time for access to your data, its rectification or erasure, restriction of processing, and data portability. You can also object to processing based on our legitimate interest. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To exercise your rights, write to info@synphonya.com or synphonya@pec.it.
If you believe that the processing of your data breaches the GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, Piazza Venezia 11, 00187 Roma, www.garanteprivacy.it) or with the supervisory authority of the EU country where you live or work.
We do not use automated decision-making or profiling.
8. Cookies and similar technologies
Synphonya does not use profiling cookies or analytics tools, and does not set cookies of its own on this site.
- Technical storage: the language preference described in section 2.d is strictly necessary to provide a feature you asked for. It does not require consent (Art. 122 of the Italian Privacy Code).
- Third-party technologies (YouTube): they are used only if you click “Load video”. Google may then store cookies or similar identifiers on your device. They are governed by Google’s cookie policy.
Fonts and the video preview are served from our own server, so viewing the page does not contact third-party services. You can delete stored cookies and data at any time in your browser settings.
